Finally. A trip to the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, set in the marvellous village of Great Missenden. For the curious, here’s a brief history of how the museum came about.
We saw Roald Dahl’s famous writing hut, carefully restored, and situated in the centre of the museum. The museum provides story trails to follow, prompts to make things, and a reconstructed version of Roald Dahl’s chair to sit in and imagine.
Children are invited to talk and tell new stories through the activities proposed, including simple stop motion and cut, copy and paste points.
We thoroughly enjoyed the adventure, and wish for an even greater storytelling museum somewhere in the world, in the future!
The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre is a great place to begin 😉
