Autumn jackets!

We’re getting ready for the cold weather with some new clothes – jackets to be precise. Our workbooks need some fancy workwear, and what better way to start than to design our own.

We used recycled brown paper and glittery crayons for a sparkly, colourful, crispy effect.

And of course we ended the day with a story – the fairytale classic The Emperor’s New Clothes.

The Emperors New Clothes is a short tale by Hans Christian Anderson about two weavers who promise an Emperor a new suit of clothes that is invisible to those unfit for their positions, stupid, or incompetent. When the Emperor parades before his subjects in his new clothes, a child cries out, “But he isn’t wearing anything at all!”

The tale has been translated into over a hundred languages.

Our weavers made some simple clothes to be proud of! Well done Alice, Viola, Davide, Tito and Francesca.
