Third year students began researching and representing the North American Indian Alphabet – an instant visual vocabulary of the family, animals and events of native tribal life.
Working with a simple grid, the students worked with black and red markers on white paper to create original patterns, inspired by the colours and symbols of our aboriginal friends. In parallel, the students are studying The Last of the Mohicans: A Narrative of 1757 (1826), an historical novel by James Fenimore Cooper.
