Rain, rain go away, come again another day.
It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring, he went to bed, bumped his head, and couldn’t get up in the morning.
These are a couple of rhymes we sang together, on a day when it was really chucking it down! The weather has been so bad, and everyone was so wet, it was nice to talk about rain. With lots of felt tips of all shades, we did some basic colour theory using colour wheels for primary, secondary and tertiary colours. We talked about all the wet leaves on the ground (big and small), waved them in pretend wind and sang Rain Rain go away. Finally we made lots of big printed coloured rain drops (with thanks to mrprintables).
The activities were accompanied by Peppa Pig’s ‘Thunderstorm‘ and ‘the biggest muddy puddle in the world‘
Colour wheels and rain drops was lovingly made by Erica, Lorenzo, Gabriele, Giulia, Ruben, Sara, Arianna and Giulia.
