In today’s shapeshop we explored eight forms through colour and material. We warmed our hearts by cutting and building a shape deck using toothpicks and coloured felt. Just close your eyes and you can pick up and feel a heart, cross, circle, square, rectangle, triangle, oval, star.

Then open your eyes again to match colour and shape, in the correct order: 1 white star, 2 red hearts, 3 yellow squares, 4 pink ovals, 5 green circles, 6 orange rectangles, 7 black crosses and 8 blue triangles.

We had more fun looking at shapes and patterns in a few ‘game-books’ by the French artist and author Hervé Tullet.    

The shape decks were made by Lorenzo, Tito, Viola, Alice and Davide.
