Super Friday Superfood!
What is superfood? Well, it’s a new piece of vocabulary that hasn’t yet made it to the dictionary, but it’s a term used to describe foods with supposed health benefits. Whatever it is (or isn’t), we made a long list of fruit, vegetables, roots, nuts, seeds and beans that could be described as superfood.
One good thing about superfood is colour. Bright yellows, reds, yellows, oranges, purples and greens are a dominant feature of good healthy food.
Children at Friday’s Creative Lab, and who are following the Middle School English Track at Collegio Villoresi, got to work with representing superfood using just coloured paper, scissors and glue. We had fun with watermelons, carrots, pineapples, bananas, pomegranate, strawberries, peppers, cherries and lots more.
Here’s to a colourful end to the week!
