It’s the so-called “settimana bianca” (white week).
While lots of children and families head for the slopes, we’ve got some different representations of white week to present. Class 1c have been at work creating these beautiful snow-topped mountains.
After a series of research studies on the “Golden Ratio”, connecting our art and design work with a mathematical equation, we set to work on applying the spiral shape, in all it’s forms, to the mountain context. No calculations needed, just a little fantasy!
Here we can see Van Gogh inspired wind floating through the sky, and evergreens applied to the mountains.
We subsequently transformed these designs into sketchbook covers.
